~THE POWDERY-SCENTED EVELOPE~

1.   BASED ON SHORT STORY THE POWDERY-SCENTED ENVELOPE WRITEN BY FARAH MAHADI, IF I WERE ILA IN THIS STORY AND FATIN IS GETTING MARRIED TO KHAIRUL AWANG, I WOULD  NOT GO TO THE WEDDING. IT'S BECAUSE I KNOW MY HEART IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO FACING IT. I STILL CAN'T FORGET THE PAIN THAT HE WAS ALREADY DONE EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY FORGIVE HIM. I HATE TO SEEING THE PERSON WHO HURT MY HEART IN A SPECIAL DAY HAPPY WITH SOMEONELSE EXSPECIALLY WITH MY COUSIN AND THEN GETTING FLASHBACKS FROM THINGS WHERE I DON'T WANT TO REMEMBER. I DON'T WANT ALLOW MY TEAR TO FLOW JUST BECAUSE OF HE WHO IS DID NOT APPRECIATE THE LOVE  THAT I GIVE. HE TOTALLY DID NOT DESERVED TO BE HAPPY, WHILE ME STILL IN A PAIN BECAUSE OF HIM. NEXT, I DON'T WANT TO RUIN THEIR WEDDING  BECAUSE  I AM AFRAID UNEXPECTED THINGS MAY HAPPEN WHEN MY EMOTIONALLY IS NOT UNDER MY CONTROL. I DON'T WANT HE THINK THAT I STILL CAN'T MOVE ON. IT MUCH  BETTER SIT AT THE HOME  WATCHING TV OR K-DRAMAS WHILE EATING POPCORN.  SO, THAT I CAN START MOVING FORWARD TO CREATE A NEW MOMENTS AND BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES WITH SOMEONE ELSE WHO DESERVED.

  2.   IN MY  BRIEF OPINION, I DID NOT LIKE MY EX TO BE FRIENDS WITH MY OWN SIBLINGS OR RELATIVES. IT IS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT MY OWN SIBLING, OR RELATIVES  FEEL THE SAME PAIN THAT HE GIVE TO ME. MY SIBLINGS OR RELATIVES DESERVE TO GET MUCH BETTER THAN HIM. BUT I STILL CAN'T STOP MY EX TO BE FRIENDS WITH MY OWN SIBLINGS OR RELATIVES, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT SINCE MY RELATIONSHIP IS OVER WITH HIM.IN THIS CASE, I  WILL TELL THE TRUTH  WITH HAVE AN OPEN CONVERSATION ABOUT MY EX TO THEM. I WOULD STRAIGHT UP TELL THEM THEY CAN'T BE FRIENDS WITH MY EX, BECAUSE THAT COULD MAKE ME FELL UNCOMFORTABLE.I BELIEVE THEY WILL HATE MY EX THEN DON'T WANT TO BE FRIENDS. IT IS BECAUSE THEIR LOYALTY WILL ALWAYS BE WITH ME. IT'S A BIOLOGICAL BOND THAT CAN'T BE EASILY BROKEN BECAUSE OF MY EX. MY EX WAS DID SOMETHING THAT REALLY HORRIBLE TO ME AS WE WERE BREAKING UP DURING THE RELATIONSHIP, IT'S UNDERSTANDABLE THAT I WOULD NOT WANT THEM TO BE FRIENDS WITH MY SIBLINGS OR RELATIVES. ALL BREAK UPS CAN GET MESSY, AND PEOPLE CAN SAY AND DO HURTFUL THINGS, IT MAY FEEL LIKE A BETRAYAL IF I DID NOT TELL THE TRUTH TO THEM. THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW. 

3.  IF I AM THE WRITER OF THIS STORY I WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE MY STORY WITH , ILA FELT GUILTY WITH FATIN AFTER SHE KNOW THE TRUTH OF EVERYTHING AND ASKED A ALPOLOGIZE TO FATIN FOR HER MISUNDERSTANDING. FATIN WILL FORGIVE ILA BUT WITH ONE CONDITION. ILA SHOULD BECOME FATIN'S BRIEDEMAID AT HER WEDDINGS CEREMONY. FINALLY, ILA HAD TO FULFILL FATIN'S REQUEST WITH PLEASED.THE NEXT DAY, ILA FEEL SO NERVOUS BECAUSE THIS IS HER FIRST EXPERIENCE AS  A BRIEDEMAIDS. SHE REALLY HAPPY TO KNOW THAT HER COUSIN NOT GETTING TO MARRIED WITH HER EX. FATIN IS COUNTING ON ME, ILA SAID. SO, SHE HAVE TO MAKE SURE FATIN'S SPECIAL DAY GO AS SMOOTH AS POSSIBLE. ILA WAS   HONOURED TO BE BESTOWED WITH SUCH AN AMAAZING RESPONSIBILITY. AT A BRIDAL DAIS, ILA WAS NOTICED THE GROOMSMEN WITH A PURPLE BAJU MELAYU KEEP WATCHING ON HER. THAT MAKE SHE FEEL IN UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATION.   WHEN THE CEREMONY END, ILA WENT TO THE TOILET AND DUMPED WITH THAT GROOMSMEN. THE GROOMSMEN GIVE HIS BUSINESS CARD TO ILA AND SAID DID NOT YOU REMEMBER ME? ILA TRYING TO FLASHBACK BUT HE CAN'T REMEMBER WHO IS HE. SHE LOOK NAME AT THE BUSINESS CARD THAT WAS GIVEN. SHE SAW IT "MOHD FAUZI TERMIZI". NOW, SHE WAS REMEMBER WHO IS HE. MOHD FAUZI TERMIZI IS HER BESTFRIEND WHEN SHE IS CHILDHOOD AROUND 8 YEARS OLD. THEY BREAKS THE SILENTBY GREETING EACH OTHER.  FAUZI GIVE THE POWDERY SCENTED EVELOPE AS HE  WENT INVITE ILA TO COME ON HIS DINNER'S PARTY. FAUZI ASK ILA TO BECAME HIS PARTNER IN THAT DINNER PARTY. ILA WITH A PLEASED ACCEPT THE INVITATION. I NEED TO MOVE ON  AND OPEN MY HEART TO DESERVE PERSON, SAID ILA IN HER HEART. 

WHY I LIKE TWELVE AND NOT STUPID STORY?

1. Based on the story “Twelve and not stupid” written by Zuraidah Omar. If I were “I” in this story, I would think that the relationship between  Papa and Auntie May must there are a hidden agenda that could make my mum in sadness.    In my perspective Auntie May is Papa’s old friend that asks for help for money or maybe protection from her cruel husband. I thought that Auntie May was divorced and her husband was having affair with another woman. So, auntie may just want to ask Papa to pretend to be her boyfriend’s so her husband will not come to disturb her life again. There are many men in this world, why it  should be my Papa?. That makes me in the confusing situation. That's why I say auntie may must have the hidden agenda. She maybe secretly like Papa since she know Papa before, but her parents against their love because there is a difference in terms of religion and race as we know that Auntie May is Chinese and Papa is Malay. So that, Auntie May use this chance to get back her love.

   Next, when Papa asks I  to lie to Mama that must there a  hidden secret, something to do about Auntie May. Maybe mama knows that Auntie May is a Papa’s former lover, but did not know that they are still on contacting each other. If Mama knows about Papa’s lies I am pretty sure that Mama was totally in angry. That's why I am not wondering when Papa asks me to lie to Mama. I think Papa just don’t want Mama misunderstood about Aunty May. Even that, I still need evidence to accuse Auntie May and Papa have a special relationship behind Mama.

2.   Based on that story where is written by Zuraidah Omar, I like this story in general. I really fall in love with this story because there are many moral values and lessons that we can apply in our life or in future. In this story, the author  managed to bring an element of suspense in this novel that will make the reader keep wonder then make their owns perspective. That makes me as the readers, keep on reading to know what happens the ending of the story.As a parents we cannot teach our children about liars. For example, in this story  we know Sasha's Papa ask her to lie to her Mama about Auntie May. Although Sasha is a young girl who is only twelve years old I afraid that when she are grown up, she will be a liar person. Parents should teach and  shows a good attitude to be followed by children, such as honesty, kindness and etc. Next,we need to give a hand to help people who in hardship without thinking about the different religion, race and color of skin. For example, Papa is a kind person. He was wanting to help Auntie May who is a Chinese and different religion. Auntie May had a family crisis relating to Yem. Yem neglecting Auntie May. That's why she asks for help from Papa. Papa agrees wants to help her without wanting any reward. 

 3.  I think when I am going to film this short story, I imagine that the places in this film is at Johor Bahru. It is because Johor Bahru is a metropolitan city, town same as this story. I will imagine that Aaron Aziz, Eyka Farhana, Nora Danish and Soo Winci as my actors and actresses.  Aaron Aziz suitable to play a role as a Papa or Sasha's father. It is because he is so handsome, smart and having a good charisma. Nora Danish can become Sasha's mother because she is a kind person, has a beautiful face and smile. I believe she can take care of her daughter in good. Next, the main character in this story suitable to Eyka Farhana to play as a Sasha who is twelve years old. I chose Eyka Farhana  because she has a natural beauty innocent face. I know she will carry this character very well. Lastly, Soo Winci as Auntie May.  As we know, Soo Winci is a Chinese. I think she can play a role as Auntie May because she is originally Chinese and can play a part of women who have a lot of problems and ask people to sympathize with her. So that, the acting look real and great. Then, the scene  at the  Chinese Restaurant that where Auntie May, Papa and Mama discuss about how to settle the family problem relating to Yem. I think the scene should be doing at  Ong Shun Seafood Restaurant. It is because that restaurant was provided halal Chinese food with a wide variety of Chinese cuisine ranging from various hawkers fried rice and noodles to Chinese dishes to be eaten with plain rice to their exquisite seafood dishes and also have a famous pancake dessert.

HI EVERYONE, NICE TO KNOW YOU. LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF FIRST. SO, WE CAN GET KNOW EACH OTHER. MY NAME IS NURUL NAJIHAH BINTI IBRAHIM. MY MOTHER GAVE BIRTH TO ME ON 5☺ OCTOBER 1998 IN KOTA TINGGI HOSPITAL . I AM 18 YEARS OLD NOW.I LIVE IN ULU TIRAM,JOHOR. ULU TIRAM IS EASILY ACCESSIBLE THROUGH THE TEBRAU HIGHWAY, KOTA TINGGI ROAD, AND THE SENAI-DESARU EXPRESSWAY.ULU TIRAM IS ALSO LOCATED 18 KM FROM JOHOR BAHRU TO THE SOUTH AND 20 KM FROM KOTA TINGGI TO THE NORTH. 

I REALLY LOVE MY FAMILY. I CAME FROM ORDINARY FAMILY. I HAVE SUCH A BIG AND HUMBLE FAMILY. I HAVE 10 SIBLINGS. THREE BROTHER, FOUR BEAUTIFUL SISTER, ONE LITTLE BROTHER AND ONE LITTLE SISTER. I AM NUMBER 8 FROM 10 OF MY SIBLINGS. THEY ARE COMPLETE MY LIFE JUST LIKE A SUN IN THE MORNING AND MOON IN THE NIGHT. WITHOUT THEM MY LIFE WILL BE AS BLACK AS A CUP OF COFFEE.

I LIKE TO EAT MY MUM'S COOKING.FOR EXAMPLE, NASI AYAM, CHICKEN CURRY, MEE SOTO AND SO ON. SHE IS THE AMAZING MUM IN THE WORLD. SHE KNOWS ME BETTER THAN ANYONE. I HAVE A HERO, I CALL HIM "DAD". HE BELIEVED IN ME AND NEVER FORCE ME TO DO THE THINGS THAT I HATE. HE MEANT THE WORLD TO ME. NEXT, MY BROTHER AND MY SISTER IS THE GREAT LISTENER. THAT WHY I LIKE TO SHARE ALL MY PROBLEM WITH THEM.  THEY ARE THE BEST FRIEND EVER. ALL MY SECRET IN THEIR'S HAND. I FELL COMFORTABLE TO SHARING WHAT I HAVE DONE,FELL AND BEEN IN THE WHOLE DAY. NO WALL OF SECRET BETWEEN OF US. WE ALWAYS PROTECT EACH OTHER. MY LITTLE SISTER AND BROTHER FULL WITH FUNNY THINGS. THEY BRIGHT MY LIFE JUST LIKE LITTLE SUNSHINE.I LIKE TO TEASED THEM SAID THAT THEY'RE ADOPTED. BOTH OF THEM CRY AND BELIEVE WHAT I WAS TOLD TO THEM. THEN, WHEN THEY KNOWS THE TRUTH FROM MY MUM THEY RELIEVED. MY MUM SCOLDED ME. HAHAHAHHAHAHAH.....   ;)
